AIM Leadership

Sue LaBonville - President & CEO

Sue is a proven leader with nearly two decades of experience designing and implementing business intelligence solutions for multinational corporations, foundations, trade associations and economic development organizations. She joined AIM in 1993, worked through the ranks and became the president/CEO and majority shareholder in 2005. Under her leadership AIM has been honored as a Top 50 Companies to Watch in Michigan (2008) and a Top 50 Woman-Owned Businesses in Michigan (2011). Sue is an active member of the Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) since 1999 and has presented and exhibited at local and national meetings of SCIP. Sue is pleased to contribute to the community through various committees/volunteer opportunities and roles including Vice President of the Meridian Board of Education, a trustee of the Midland-Gladwin Chapter of the American Red Cross and through participation in the Leadership Midland program.

Anne Herron - Vice-President

As VP of Business Intelligence, Anne’s responsibilities include new business prospecting, current client/project development and personnel development. Over the past decade, Anne has lead a team of highly qualified analysts, librarians and business intelligence professionals, serving senior executives at Fortune 100 companies in delivering successful solutions. She has spent much time in attending and assisting in the development of educational/training engagements in the field of intelligence – including public domain collection & analysis, elicitation and information systems – speaking at venues such as management graduate school programs, professional associations and Fortune 100 companies. Anne enjoys serving the community in which she lives and works; she is committed to the United Way organization as the local Communication Chair and enjoys volunteering as a guest lecturer at the DeVos Graduate School of Management at Northwood University. Prior to her career at AIM, she was an Analytical Chemist in Polymer Sciences for The Dow Chemical Company.

Sandy Warner - Vice-President

As Vice President of HR and Finance, Sandy handles recruitment, hiring, benefit administration and employee relations. She oversees payroll, invoicing, vendor payment and monitors the big picture financial operations for AIM. She joined AIM in 1996 conducting business research related to the chemical industry. She holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from Central Michigan University and worked for six years for The Dow Chemical Company. In 2009, Sandy earned her certification as a Professional in Human Resources, having served in the AIM HR function since 2000. She is active in the HR community participating in American Society of Employers, board member of The Valley Society for Human Resource Management (VSHRM), and mock interviewer for area students at Ready, Set, Get Hired!

Sara Eardley – Research Director

Sara is responsible for cultivating AIM's global resources, including discovering, evaluating, and implementing innovative tools used by AIM's team of expert researchers and analysts. She has over 15 years of professional research experience in both corporate and academic environments and is active in the Special Libraries Association (SLA) and other industry groups. Sara has an MILS from Wayne State University and an MS from Indiana University.

Matthew O’Connor – Director of Business Intelligence

Matt is responsible for AIM’s new business development and strategic marketing initiatives. He collaborates with AIM leadership on the formulation and execution of AIM’s strategic plans and serves as a project leader and manager. Matt is a seasoned and professional intelligence analyst who has held diverse research and marketing positions at Plenum Publishing Company, Kluwer Academic Publishers, Wayne State University and Penn State University. He has an MLIS from Wayne State University and an MBA from Bloomsburg University.
